Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These terms apply when you order a card from Tap & Tell. Please read them before you send an order request. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Tap & Tell is a business run by Georgie Pitt, a self-employed sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. You can contact us at tapandtell@outlook.com.
2. Our cards
- Standard card (£30): our branded Tap & Tell design, programmed to open one web link of your choice.
- Personalised card (£35): as Standard, plus your name, job title and a QR code printed on the card.
- Bulk orders (5 or more cards): priced by quote. We'll confirm the price for your group in writing before you order.
Cards come with a printed Tap & Tell holder. Product images on our website are for illustration; your card will follow the same design with your own details.
3. How ordering works
- You send an order request or bulk quote request through our website.
- We reply by email to confirm your design, link, price, payment and delivery details.
- A contract is formed when you accept our confirmation and pay. Sending a request on its own doesn't commit you or us to anything.
We may decline an order, for example if a link is unlawful, harmful or misleading.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown on our website. Delivery charges, if any, will be confirmed before you pay. We start making your card once payment has been received.
5. Student discount
Student discounts are available to students currently enrolled at a university or college. We may ask you to confirm your status from your university email address before we apply the discount.
6. Your link and details
- You're responsible for giving us the correct link and spelling of your name and job title. We'll send you the details to check before we produce your card.
- Your card is programmed to open one link. The link can't be changed once the card has been made.
- If the page your card points to changes or stops working (for example, if you change your LinkedIn profile address), the card will still open the original link. We can make you a one-off replacement card at a discounted price.
- You must have the right to use any name, logo or branding you ask us to print, and the link must not lead to unlawful or harmful content.
7. Delivery
We deliver within the UK and aim to get your card to you within a week of confirming your order. Bulk and event orders will have a delivery date agreed in your quote. If we're going to be late, we'll let you know.
8. Cancellations and returns
Every card is made to order, programmed to your own link and, for Personalised cards, printed with your details. Because of this, the usual 14-day right to cancel for change of mind doesn't apply once we've started making your card.
You can cancel free of charge and get a full refund any time before we start making your card. Just email us.
9. Faulty cards
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. If your card arrives damaged, doesn't work, or doesn't match what we agreed, email us within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you. After that, we'll repair or replace a faulty card, or give you a refund if a replacement isn't possible.
10. Phone compatibility
Our cards work with most modern smartphones that support NFC. Some older phones need NFC switched on, and a few phones don't support NFC at all. Personalised cards include a printed QR code as a backup. We can't guarantee that every phone will read the card.
11. Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for the content of the page your card links to, or for losses that weren't foreseeable. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
12. Your information
We use your personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Other important terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on our website when you placed it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
